Background
Dr. Ragona has acquired a wide range of experience since graduating from the University of Wisconsin in 1998. She started in field work & research with the wild parrots of Brazil, followed by private practice for companion animals utilizing both conventional and holistic medicine. In seeking to enhance her conventional medical background, Dr. Ragona expanded her knowledge by pursuing a certification in animal acupuncture from the esteemed Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Most recently, she perfected her surgical talents working for the Central Brevard Humane Society, caring for the shelter animals and local companion animals. In addition, she successfully operates a mobile veterinary practice. From wild animals to companion animals, to shelter & rescue medicine, Dr. Ragona now brings her extensive veterinary skills and experience to the Cocoa Village community!
Dr. Ragona is also an accomplished artist with a vast array of works featuring animal companions. Her work can be viewed in several universities around the country, publications by the AVMA and on the Animal Planet program.
